Kuttappa B.C.
Academic. An alumnus of Mangalore and Madurai Kamraj universities, Kuttappa has completed a diploma course in artificial intelligence from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and also holds a postgraduate diploma in journalism from Karnataka State Open University, Mysore.

Adventure. Kuttappa’s first introduction to adventure travel happened about a decade ago. Since then he has achieved several feats in the adventure travel. He is a qualified Mountaineering Instructor from Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (HMI), Darjeeling and an IMF (Indian Mountaineering Foundation)-certified Liaison Officer for Foreign Mountaineering Expeditions.

Career. Kuttappa started his career in the software industry and after serving for three years, he left the field feeling claustrophobic. He switched professions and moved into adventure tourism and was soon signed up as a guest instd was soon signed up as a guest instructor at India’s most reputed mountaineering institute – HMI, Darjeeling. Currently he serves as a freelance adventure consultant and mountain guide for corporates, individuals and school groups.


Prakash B.V.
Academic. A graduate of Bangalore University, Prakash served in the banking sector for over three decades before opting for retirement to dedicate his life for travel and adventure sports.

Adventure. Prakash’s first introduction to adventure travel happened during the late 1980s. Since then he has participated in numerous trekking, mountaineering and biking expeditions. He is a qualified Mountaineer and skier from Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (HMI), Darjeeling and Directorate of Mountaineering and Allied Sports, Manali. He is also an IMF (Indian Mountaineering Foundation)-certified Liaison Officer for Foreign Mountaineering Expeditions. A certified sport climbing judge.

Career. Throughout his professional life, Prakash was employed in Canara Bank in various capacities and departments. He took voluntary retirement in 2003 to travel the world in stages. Post retirement he has also started a new vocation i.e. travel writing in order to share his experiences and knowledge about faraway lands with people. He writes extensively for Bangalore-based daily newspaper Deccan Herald and also organises treks, camps and mountaineering expeditions.
